Poor neglected Yamaha V-Star, sitting alone under a tarp all winter while Miss Fancy Dance V-Strom got to play in the south.  Her worn tire, tired from packing her human all the way to Cabo and back the year before, was still attached to her beautiful frame.

Then FINALLY her human was able to ride her to a bike shop and get that smoothed out gripless rubber replaced.

When the tire came off it was discovered that her brake pads were completely worn out, Not even a fingernail thickness left.  Talk about good timing.
There are so many different brands of tires.  What to choose to put into this gaping hole?
After reading many reviews a Michelin Cammander ll was chosen. It is supposed to have a superior grip on the road in all conditions as well as excellent longevity.  It is also wider than her previous tires giving her a tougher look.
Now this looks like more fun than knitting socks, does it not?

Yes, some day I will have to make knitting socks fun. I will clack away to the tune of Neil Young's "Unknown Legend" while streaming motorcycle adventures on my Mac. :-) You are such an inspiration Marion! Now I can look forward to old age. Let's be room mates? Do you knit?
